It has been an age old issue that the lobby of bureaucrats has often felt humiliated in the hands of politicians. Despite their highest academic achievement, there have been many instances wherein an MLA or MP or Minister who is hardly educated takes charge and blasts the bits out of the bureaucrats.
And now, it is heard that there is a cold war of sorts happening between the ministers and the bureaucrats. A recent incident of Minister Prasad Kumar alleging that few GOs were released from his ministry without his knowledge came as a shocking surprise. Already, the fight between Sabita Indra Reddy and Sri Lakshmi is known.
Few sources from the secretariat reveal that most of the times the bureaucrats consider the ministers to be incapable of taking progressive decisions. But at the same time, it cannot be true that GOs can be passed without the approval of the minister. So, the question remains, who is at fault in all this?
