Responding in the lok sabha on the official number of cancer patients, the minister of State for health and Family Welfare, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, quoting the indian Council of Medical Research's National cancer Registry Program i.e. ICMR-NCRP, told that the total number of cancer cases in the country in the year 2022 was 1461427. Whereas in 2021 it was 1426447. Whereas in 2020 this number was 1392179.
