
Monday (6 November) was the last day for nomination for assembly elections in Rajasthan. bjp has fielded its
candidates on all the two hundred seats in the state. At the same time, congress has fielded its candidates on
199 seats, while on one seat congress has left one seat for its ally party. This time, congress has again
nominated Zahida Khan for Kaman assembly seat of Deeg district. In his contest, bharatiya janata party has
fielded Nauksham Choudhary by giving ticket.
Zahida Khan has also been mla from Kaman assembly seat in the year 2008. However, in the 2013 assembly
elections, Zahida Khan was elected as Ku. Natwar Singh's son Jagat Singh was defeated. In the 2018 assembly
elections, Zahida Khan contested the elections on congress ticket and managed to reach the assembly by
winning the elections twice. Zahida Khan had defeated bjp candidate jawahar Singh Bedham by more than 40
thousand votes.

Congress party has again made Zahida Khan its candidate in the 2023 assembly elections. Bharatiya Janata
Party has fielded Nauksham Choudhary, a resident of Nuhan Mewat, Haryana, on the ticket. Although some
people were opposed to giving ticket to Zahida Khan, the congress high command has expressed confidence in
Zahida Khan.

Congress candidate Zahida Khan has studied LLB. Zahida Khan's father Tayyab Hussain was counted among
the powerful leaders of Mewat region. Tayyab Hussain was the only leader who won elections by contesting in

accusing Zahida Khan of nepotism. His daughter Dr. Shahnaz Khan is the head of Kaman panchayat Samiti and
son sajid khan has become the head of Pahari panchayat Samiti.
