Loganathan, a daily wage laborer from coimbatore, thanked the prime minister for talking about his service on the 'Manatin Gholar' programme. On the last sunday of every month, prime minister Narendra Modi interacts with the public through the program 'Manadin Ghor' and praises the volunteers who render various services. In this regard, the prime minister spoke in praise of Loganathan, a daily wage laborer from coimbatore district, and his service in the program 'Manadin Ghol' which was broadcast today. A. Lokanathan, a 59-year-old resident of Sulur area, has been helping poverty-stricken children and poor people in various ways for the past 22 years. He has been doing these things especially with the money he gets from cleaning the toilets.
Also, he continues to do the service of getting used clothes from different areas and giving them to poor children. He has also received awards from various voluntary organizations for this. In this situation, prime minister Modi has praised his service in Manadin Voice program. Loganathan says that the prime minister of india spoke about his service as the biggest recognition of his service over the years.
In an exclusive interview with Doordarshan and All india Radio News, he said: “I have studied only up to class five. I could not study because of poverty. So, I am doing welding work and daily wage work. The income from this is only sufficient to support the family. However, my passion is to serve the poor. For that, I am saving money from cleaning toilets and helping poor people. Apart from this, I also buy used clothes and give them to the poor.” Loganathan said that despite receiving many awards from various voluntary organizations for this service, prime minister Modi's mention of my service in the 'Voice of Mind' program is a huge recognition. He also said that he will submit this appreciation and pride to the people of coimbatore district.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the prime minister for introducing me to the whole world, who has been doing cleanliness work and serving the people in some part of the country. Appreciation from the prime minister has encouraged me to do more services.” Loganathan also said.
