Since 1949, january 15 every year was started to be celebrated as indian army Day. Today is the 74th army Day being celebrated. The day begins with paying homage to the martyrs at the amar Jawan Jyoti at india Gate.  Indian army Day: Salute the Real Heroes !!!
 
For the first time this year in 1949, the indian army got its first chief on january 15th and on this day they celebrated army day. 


Lieutenant General KM Cariappa, on 15 january 1949, took over the command of the indian army from Francis Butcher. The last british Commander-in-Chief of india was Francis Butcher.


In this way, General KM Cariappa became the first army Chief of India. From that day, january 15th started celebrating army Day. The parade will be held at Cariappa Parade Ground in delhi on the 74th army Day. During this parade, the soldiers will also be rewarded.
