As the airline, which is jointly controlled by the Tata Group and singapore Airlines, has cancelled or delayed more than 100 flights in the last week, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) requested a comprehensive report from Vistara detailing flight cancellations and significant delays, an official from the Ministry told the ANI news agency. The event on tuesday occurs one day after the airline acknowledged that there were regular delays and cancellations of flights. The airline responded to the widespread criticism from passengers by stating that staff were trying to stabilise the situation.
 

Vistara confirmed that it has had many flight cancellations and unavoidable delays in the past several days for various operational reasons in an official statement released on Monday. Our personnel are putting forth endless effort to get the issue under control. We apologise for any difficulty these delays have caused to our esteemed clients."
 

Additionally, the airline announced that in order "to ensure adequate connectivity across our network," it has temporarily chosen to decrease the number of flights it operates.
 
"We have also deployed larger aircraft like our B787-9 Dreamliner and A321neo on select domestic routes to combine flights or accommodate more number of customers, wherever possible," stated the statement.
 

"We are providing affected customers with refunds or other flying choices, as appropriate. We acknowledge once more that our consumers have experienced great distress as a result of these disruptions and really apologies to them for the same. We're trying to get the issue under control and will shortly be back to full capacity," the statement continued.
 
Pilots' refusal to fly because of their extended flying hours was the cause of the disturbance, according to an ANI news agency report that cited aviation sources.
