Simu Liu's Shang-Chi tweet, which went viral when he asked Marvel to discuss about turning the story to life, is now featured on hollywood billboards for a social promotion. Liu rose to fame on television in 2015 with series regular appearances in the Canadian crime thriller Blood and Water and the highly lauded sitcom Kim's Convenience, after beginning his profession as an extra and character actor. The 32-year-old actor would go on to star in Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings as the main protagonist.

Shang-origin Chi's myths were addressed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, as he is a descendent of Wenwu, the commander of the Ten Rings criminal organisation and popularly known as the Mandarin throughout the world. Shang-Chi, anxious to live a regular life, forsakes a mission assigned to him by his father and goes back home in San Francisco, only to be lured back into his destiny when the Ten Rings appear and seek him and his separated sibling.

Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings was another commercial success for Marvel Studios, grossing over $434 million during the epidemic and earning the best Cinemascore ranking for the MCU ever since initial iron Man.
