The eagerly awaited Kantara sequel was just unveiled by sensational pan-Indian actor Rishab Shetty. And now there's a big update on the movie: Kantara 2 is scheduled to start shooting on august 27. The squad is equally excited. Kantara 2 will reportedly start filming in the following two months, with its release date set for august 27, 2023. Hombale Films president vijay kiragandur revealed that Rishab planned to begin filming in august to capture the essence of the rainy season because a crucial scene in the movie needed such weather.

In addition, the sequel's budget is larger than the previous film's, which had a lower budget but became a huge success. The producers intend to produce a high-quality product without cutting corners. It's interesting that the movie is a prequel to Kantara rather than a sequel. In March, at the time of the auspicious holiday of Ugadi, Rishab started writing the script for Kantara 2. He has already finished the draught. Additionally, he affirmed that the movie will hit theatres in 2024. Kantara 2 will also be made available nationwide in a variety of languages.
