The singer said, 'When I was growing up, I had a lot of hair on my face, due to which people used to tease me and say bad things. They used to call me Godzilla, I think they just thought I was ugly. I used to come home and cry. Even the punjabi boys in my class used to make fun of me. I was not able to accept my body myself, so how would anyone else accept it.'
Music changed my life.
Further in the conversation, singer Jonita gandhi said, 'I still have that fear inside me, but music changed my life. It made me feel that I was doing something different in life, while nothing else felt good to me. Even when I did shows in Toronto, I did not wear good clothes. I used to wear kurtas, while everyone wore lehenga. I think I am an ugly duck who has become a swan.'
