The telangana State Road convey (TSRTC) officials have brought attention to the fact that drug traffickers typically choose either private automobiles or buses to convey the illegal material. Smugglers are seen to use private buses more often than official ones. According to officials, private bus staff members frequently are unaware because they don't inspect clients' bags. The drug dealer disguises himself as a regular traveller and discards the drug-filled bags among other travellers' luggage and bags, avoiding any suspicion.

Every day, several buses travel between hyderabad and numerous cities in adjacent States. Passengers' belongings kept in the bus' trunk are not subject to inspection. It is simple to bring hundreds of kilogrammes of illegal drugs into the city without anyone noticing. However, it has been successfully reduced by the police and other enforcement bodies. "These buses are sometimes used to smuggle more than 100 kilos of psychoactive drugs into the city from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chennai, and Maharashtra. Smuggling incidents in rtc buses, however, are now extremely uncommon, according to a TSRTC source.

Since they don't inspect the customers' luggage, private bus operators are frequently unaware of the smuggling. Few operators, meanwhile, work willingly with the racketeers and do so in order to make extra money. According to information obtained, the TSRTC is preparing a series of unexpected special drives with the assistance of the police at bus stops and transit hubs. The personnel is also instructed to alert the local police, the Narcotics Control Bureau, or the Excise Department of any questionable people or luggage.

"Drug traffickers have been using buses recently because law enforcement rarely checks bus passengers unless they receive a tip. In contrast to the air route, it might be a simple getaway for carriers, a representative stated. Anti-drug authorities are also scrutinising a number of bus boarding and disembarking places.
