Why did BJP-JDS say a few days ago - a change in Karnataka?

After the breakup of ncp in Maharashtra, former chief minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy claimed that within a month there would be a big upheaval in karnataka like Maharashtra. Former chief minister and bjp leader BS Yeddyurappa also said in one of his statements that anything can happen in Karnataka. This statement of both the leaders had created panic.
Can JDS and bjp bring down the government together?
The majority mark in karnataka, a state with 224 assembly members, is 113. At present, there are 66 MLAs of bharatiya janata party and 19 of JDS in the state. Together these two will only reach the figure of 85. This figure is very less than the majority i.e. 113. In such a situation, even if bjp and JDS form an alliance, the congress government cannot fall.
Even if there is no majority, why talk of falling of the government?
Kumaraswamy and Yeddyurappa believe that like ncp, congress has split and if something like this happens then political upheaval is possible in karnataka as well.
Congress currently has 135 MLAs in Karnataka. Apart from this, an independent mla has also given his support to the party. In order to topple the government in this state, it is necessary for any party to have the support of 113 MLAs. Which means congress now has 23 seats more than the majority mark. If there is talk of a situation in karnataka similar to Maharashtra, then at least 90 MLAs will have to go to the rebel camp. Only then the MLAs of the rebel group will be able to escape from the anti-defection law.
