The meals in this canteen will be expensive compared to the special BBMP canteens. This new rate will be applicable in newly constructed Indira canteens.

Indira canteens under BBMP will continue to have the old rate. 62 per meal as per the new rate. The rate is fixed and a subsidy of Rs 37 is provided by the government. After the cabinet meeting, minister H.K. Patil said. 188 new Indira canteens have been approved for opening in local bodies apart from BBMP.
