Bhattacharya said that in principle he is not in favor of announcing the name of the PM candidate before the
elections. However, Dipankar Bhattacharya further said that if an experienced and Dalit leader like Kharge
becomes PM, it will be a good thing for the country.
Dipankar Bhattacharya said, “Discussion on PM candidate was not part of the agenda. This is not a presidential
election. There is no candidate for the post of PM in a parliamentary democracy. Just look at BJP. There was no CM
candidate in the assembly elections. When there is no cm face in the assembly elections, then how can a face be
declared for the PM? There is no need for that. When Dipakkar Bhattacharya was asked that mamata banerjee had
proposed the name of mallikarjun Kharge, he said, If for the first time after 75 years of the country's independence,
an experienced leader and Dalit leader like Kharge, Those who have come forward fighting for the workers. If he
becomes PM in this situation of crisis, it will be a good thing for the country.
Decision on seat sharing in 15-20 days- Dipankar
Was there any discussion on the name of the convener of the alliance? On this, Dipankar Bhattacharya said, There
is a system and that is why the meeting is taking place. The coordination committee is organizing a meeting. When
it is felt that there is a need for a convener, it will be decided. On the issue of seat sharing, Dipankar Bhattacharya
said that it was already decided that it would be done not at the national level but at the state level. Talks are going
on with the parties concerned in the states. A decision on this will be taken within 15-20 days.
