The Grand mosque of saudi arabia has embraced the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the experience of worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan. Robots equipped with large touchscreen LCDs have been deployed throughout the mosque, offering information about modern islam in 11 languages.

According to reports from a News, these robots serve as a platform for worshippers to ask questions related to islam and connect with clerics online. This initiative, spearheaded by Abdulrahman Al Sudais, President of Religious Affairs at the Holy mosque, underscores the importance of leveraging advanced technology to promote a contemporary understanding of Islam.
The robots provide information in languages such as Arabic, English, French, Russian, Persian, Turkish, Urdu, Chinese, and Bengali, allowing worshippers to interact with them directly. With a 21-inch touch screen, worshippers can access a wealth of knowledge and engage with the teachings of islam conveniently.
As the month of Ramadan commenced on march 11 in saudi arabia, the Grand mosque expects a significant influx of worshippers, including those performing Umrah and offering prayers. This integration of AI into the mosque aims to facilitate a deeper understanding of islam and cater to the diverse linguistic needs of worshippers from around the world.
