Karnataka Hijab Row Back:Congress to overturn..??

In 2022, the state administration issued an order effectively outlawing the hijab in classrooms at government-run colleges, sparking a significant political and religious debate. The ordinances and rules that the former bharatiya janata party dictatorship in karnataka imposed, such as the rewriting of school textbooks and anti-conversion laws, are expected to be revised or rescinded by the state's new Congress-led government.

The orders, which are against the interests of the state, would be changed or cancelled after assessment, said karnataka minister Priyank Kharge on Wednesday. Kharge is also the son of congress president Malliarjun Kharge.

Kharge's statement was made at a time when numerous people were calling for the "hijab ban" to be lifted. Without directly addressing the matter, the minister stated that the government would review all of the previous administration's actions that violated the Constitution, the spirit of constructing a society, and the inclusivity of that society.

He declared, "We will review every policy matter put forth by the previous government." According to the karnataka minister, the congress administration will revoke all laws and executive orders that impede the state's economic growth and prosperity and are injurious to Kannadigas.
