Actor Jiiva had last acted in the disastrous movie Gorilla helmed by Don Sandy, and then he failed with his next release will be Gypsy which released by January. Then, Jiiva's mass movie Seeru which was planned to release last year, got delayed to this February. Ironically, that movie also failed.
Initially, the team planned to release the movie on december 20, 2019, and then the team released 'Seeru' worldwide on february 7, just before the Corona pandemic. 'Seeru' was bankrolled by reputed production house Vels Film international and helmed by vijay sethupathi starrer Rekka fame Rathna Shiva.
'Seeru' featured tollywood hero Navdeep, Comali, and Puppy actor varun, and tollywood babe riya suman made her kollywood debut as the female lead with Seeru and this movie had music scored by d imman and marked the singing debut of Internet sensation Nochipatty Thirumoorthy. The movie ended as a huge disaster and Jiiva became the only hero to give two flops in 2020. In this case, the actor has signed a new movie where he will join hand with kajal aggarwal again. This new movie will be helmed by a debut director.
