The release date of Thalapathy Vijay's much-anticipated actioner, Beast, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has been the subject of much discussion during the last few seasons. The film's release date has been set for pongal 2022, according to the tamil business. However, a bankable source has learned officially that the much-anticipated picture will be released in cinemas worldwide in Summer 2022.


“The Beast team had planned to release around the pongal festival; but, due to the filming taking longer than intended, and also as producer Boney Kapoor announced Valimai is coming for pongal, they have opted to postpone the release to the Summer 2022 window (April End). “The team has already shot almost 60% of the film, and the remaining segments will be shot over the next two months,” a person connected to the project stated.


According to the source, Vijay, Nelson, and sun Pictures are hoping to wrap Beast by november 20. “After that, the film enters the post-production stage,” the person continued. The Valimai crew announced they're coming for the pongal festival a while back. “They considered a number of dates, ranging from diwali through december 9 and Pongal. They all simultaneously opted on a pongal opening after conversations with exhibitors, distributors, and rivals,” said the insider.
