Let us tell you that shilpa Shetty's husband raj had to stay in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail for 63 days for his alleged involvement in an adult film racket case.
However, in september 2021, the Metropolitan Magistrate's court granted him bail. Now, in an interview raj talked about the media coverage against him, which presented him as a disgraced person. He explained how the bad comments never hurt him but affected his family.
Son's reaction to raj Kundra's arrest
In an interview with 'The indian Express', raj Kundra opened up about his arrest and the media coverage that took a toll on him. He shared that it was a difficult period for him and his family. raj said that while his daughter is too young to read online content, his 11-year-old son Viaan watches her, but he trusts her.
Revealing what his wife shilpa told Viaan about his father's arrest, raj said, "My daughter is too young to read online content, but my son is 11 now... I am his hero. He trusts me and has faith in me. We tell him not to worry, he's not on social media so he won't read the comments, but you know how friends talk... but I also know that there's unity at that age. He asked shilpa what happened, why it happened, and how it happened, and she gave a proper answer to the question of an 11-year-old child.
Why did raj Kundra not give any explanation for his arrest?
When raj Kundra was arrested, people on social media commented on him and his family. Talking about the same, raj said that they were just nameless and faceless keyboard warriors who said negative things about him. The businessman revealed that when he was hurt, shilpa had asked him not to respond to all the bad comments.
He said, “Initially I felt sad, I wanted to respond, but shilpa said, ‘Don’t complain, don’t explain. We know you haven't done anything wrong and if someone comments and you reply, you will only notice that. Let the law take its course and when it does, everyone will know that you did nothing wrong. But I disagree with this to some extent, because I think that when there is bad news, it is blown out of proportion and becomes front-page news, but when it is good news, it remains confined to a small column. There is no escape from this. Perhaps this film will prove to be my closure.
Raj Kundra talked about wearing a mask
After coming out of jail, raj Kundra was rarely seen in public and whenever he was seen, he was seen covering his face with a mask. He also talked about this in the interview and shared that initially, the idea was to limit the media's access to him, but then he started playing with it.
Raj said, “It feels good to be without a mask, it was claustrophobic for me, just like my life has been in the last few years. It started as a form of pain caused by media stories that I didn't want anyone to reach. Slowly I started playing with it. I knew people were making comments like 'It's not worth showing my face, I'm embarrassed', but if that were the case, I wouldn't have 70 different masks in different colors!'
Raj Kundra talked about getting a clean chit from the court
However, raj Kundra is still struggling with the pain, as he is unable to forget whatever was written or said about him in the media. He called all the reports yellow journalism and criticized people for blaming someone before the law was decided. He said, “The pain has not gone away and neither will it. In my case, it was yellow journalism. It was unfair, don't convict anyone before the law is decided. My final freedom will come when I get a clean chit from the court.”
