Engineering enrollment has reached a four-year high, indicating great enthusiasm among students in pursuing technical fields and finding employment in telangana, which is receiving significant IT investments that are assisting in the creation of jobs. A brief glance at the convener quota engineering admissions for the telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) indicates a 35% rise in enrolment in 2022 compared to 2019.
62,170 applicants applied for engineering admissions in 2022, up from 46,134 in 2019. Since 2019, the number of engineering admissions has been rising rapidly. During the height of the Covid-19 epidemic, enrollments experienced a record increase of around 10,000, going from 47,739 in the year before to 2021 to 57,545 in the same year. Most students enrolled in the popular BE/BTech programs in computer science, engineering, information technology, and related fields.

Officials from the higher education department and experts saw a surge in engineering admissions, which they both ascribed to the vast number of international corporations that established offices, research centers, and data centers in Hyderabad, creating a significant amount of job prospects. According to information provided by the IT department, the number of jobs created in the IT industry in the State in 2019–20 was 5,82,126; this number increased to 6,28,615 in 2020–21; and to 7,78,121 in 2021–2022.

With firms like Pi Health, Sonata Software, State Street, Rite Software, Charles Schwab, and Medtronic PLC having declared their investment or growth in the State, employment will increase by an additional 42,000 jobs. In addition to this, the State government has established the greatest start-up ecosystem, including T-Hub and WeHub, which are turning ideas into start-ups.

Those who qualified for the engineering stream of the TS EAMCET 2023 can now take part in the admissions counseling, which will start on june 26. The first phase of counseling registration will take place from june 26 to July 5, and certificate verification will take place from june 28 to July 6.
