On Thursday, october 6, the hyderabad traffic wing cleared the footpath encroachments at sultan Bazar near the Kamat Hotel and bank Street. Operation ROPE (removal of restrictive parking and encroachment) was used to carry out the activity. Additionally, the traffic police registered cases against offenders for breaking traffic laws. In their interactions with the street sellers, the police warned them against parking their cars on the road since it would be inconvenient for the general public.

The hyderabad traffic police posted images of the area before and after footpath encroachments were removed on X (previously Twitter). The traffic police cleared illegal encroachments from sidewalks and roadways earlier in september 2022 and reported 20 complaints under section 41 and 39B of the city police code. At the Madina intersection to Pathergatti, the traffic police force led by ACP charminar (Traffic) v Srinivas reddy carried out operation ROPE.

The traffic police will travel across the city as part of the programme and take action to remove the encroachments to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. At the program's commencement, the hyderabad CP issued instructions to city residents stating that there should be a parking spot of 60% in multiplexes and malls, 40% in commercial buildings, and 30% in flats.
