Yogi government is conscious about the pollution caused by stubble burning in winter. The government has

made preparations from the beginning to prevent incidents of stubble burning. A large-scale campaign is being

run to stop the incidents of stubble burning in any case. Agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi has said that

action will be taken against the incidents of stubble burning. Regarding burning of stubble, the Agriculture

Minister said that the stubble will be destroyed by rolling it with a new system. Also, action will be taken against

those who burn the system. The Agriculture minister said this in Kushinagar on Tuesday. During this, he

inaugurated the newly constructed 32 bedded ICU unit and 26 bedded emergency ward in the Autonomous State

Medical College. After the inauguration, he inspected the district hospital and expressed his displeasure at the

doctor.

Yogi government in alert mode regarding stubble

In fact, along with the awareness campaign, the government has distributed free bio-decomposers among the

farmers, while agricultural implements with residue management are being distributed for crop residue

management. In the presentation of the Agriculture Department regarding stubble management before the Chief

Secretary, it was told that 50 percent subsidy is being provided on single agricultural equipment. So far 44,363

single agricultural implements have been distributed.

Target to distribute 17 lakh biodecomposers

Approval has been given for 4439 single agricultural equipment in 2023-24. A total of 7621 forms have been

distributed so far under the head of FPO, Cooperative Society and Gram Panchayat. 296 have been approved in

2023-24. Last year, 1322250 biodecomposers were distributed, while a target has been set to distribute 17 lakh

biodecomposers in 2023-24.
