Is the government trying to evict the aboriginal people living in Aavadi Bharathidasan nagar, who have been given a license by the tamil Nadu government, claiming that they are invaders? Naam Tamilar party chief coordinator Seeman has condemned.

In a statement issued by Naam Tamilar party Chief Coordinator Seeman, "The DMK government's attempt to forcibly evict the tribal people, who have been living in Vlinchiyambakkam Bharathidasan nagar area for more than 90 years, is strongly condemned. It is tyrannical to try to evict the people who have been given a lease by the tamil Nadu government and are living in houses after all these years, claiming that they are invaders.

The working tribal people of 60 families who were living in Bharathidasan nagar near Avadi Vlinchiyambakkam since before the independence of the country, after the independence in 1965, the then chief minister of tamil Nadu, Mr. Iya Bhaktavachalam, gave a house plot. It is an act of inhumane brutality to evict the people who have passed three generations and are living as 172 families, who have obtained all the proofs like family card, voter card, Aadhaar card, electricity connection, drinking water connection, paid all the taxes including house tax and voted as invaders. Houses that were not known to be encroachment for the last 60 years when the Dravidian pilgrims went to ask for votes from the mothers, do they now look like encroachment? The DMK government's attempt to forcefully evict the people of AV soil through repression by the police shows the autocratic attitude of the DMK government.

In the last two and a half years since the DMK government came to power, it has been continuously doing the brutal work of forcibly evicting the indigenous people from every part of Chennai. The DMK government is taking away the lands from the poor people and laying the carpet for the multinational capitalists, northern traders and private land sellers. The DMK government, which is incapable of recovering the government lands occupied by politicians and the rich, demolishes the habitations of innocent people, intimidates and drives them away with the help of power, is the height of tyranny. Is this the equality that the DMK government adheres to? Social justice? The Dravidian model that makes everything available to everyone is the name of it? Questions arise.

Therefore, I request the DMK government to immediately withdraw the order to stop the forcible eviction of the tamil Tolkudi people who have been living for the last three generations in the Vlinjiyambakkam - Bharathidasan nagar area under Avadi Corporation and to demolish their houses. Also, on behalf of Naam Tamilar party, I urge the DMK government to completely abandon such tyrannical acts of systematically evicting indigenous people from their homes where they have been living for many generations,” he said.
