A famous female producer has admitted that drug addiction is rampant in the kerala film industry. Shane Nigam is a rising actor who is famous for his roles in malayalam films like Kumbalangi Nights and Ishq. Similarly, Srinath Bassi has grown into a notable actor in the last 10 years in films like Virus Cappella, Bhishma Paravam, Kumbalangli Nights.

Kerala cinema fans were shocked when the malayalam film world announced at the end of last month that both of them are drug addicts and that they have suffered losses and that they can no longer cooperate. It was also alleged that Srinath Basi deliberately gave the same dates to several films, causing losses to the producers.

Earlier in an interview with a private media, Sandra Thomas said: "It is true that drug use is rampant in the malayalam film industry. people who take these drugs do not sleep at night. So they are always late for the shoot. They never know when they will relax. They nod to our instructions but don't listen to anything. They forget the time and date. At the end of the day, it is the producer who suffers."

Also, “dealing with uncooperative actors is like a nightmare. When we hire actors, we send them the script first. They agree to be a part of the project after reading the script, right? So there is no question of ordering any changes during the shoot. But in Shane Nigam's case, I don't see what was wrong with his request to check the edited footage."
