In the Mudimanikyam hamlet of the nalgonda district of Telangana, archaeologists have found two ancient temples dating back to the Badami Chalukyan era. A few distinct inscriptions were also discovered. The finding sheds more light on the rich cultural heritage of the area. A group of researchers led by S ashok kumar and Dr. MA Srinivasan discovered the finding.

The temples are believed to be at least 1,300 years old, and their unique architectural styles blend features of Badami Chalukyan and Kadamba Nagara. The researchers found that the temples had amazingly weathered the test of time despite their age. The finding, according to telugu University assistant professor Dr Srinivasan, is significant because it will shed additional light on the religious customs of the Badami Chalukyan era

There is a panavattam, or shiva lingam base, in the sanctum sanctorum of one temple, it has been found. An idol of vishnu was discovered in another. Furthermore, 'Gandaloranru,' an inscription from the eighth or ninth century AD, was discovered.

According to Dr. Srinivasan, an associate professor at telugu University, the discovery is noteworthy since it would throw further insight on the religious practices of the Badami Chalukyan period.
