The anger stems from Sunny Deol's failure to visit Gurdaspur when he visited Sri darbar Sahib in Amritsar, a neighboring city just 30 kilometers away. The decision not to visit his own parliamentary constituency during his visit to the region has deeply offended many residents of Gurdaspur. The protest movement has gained momentum, with banners and slogans demanding the boycott of the film circulating widely on the internet.
