Actually, in chhattisgarh, gaura Gauri festival is celebrated on the second day of diwali in rural areas and urban
areas. In this, lord shiva and Mother Parvati are worshiped with full rituals. It is believed that this is an ancestral
festival of the tribals which has been going on for centuries. gaura Gauri festival was also celebrated with great

For the last several years, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has been continuously reaching Janjgir village on the
second day of diwali to participate in the gaura Gauri Puja performed by the tribal community. He worshiped
Lord shiva and Mother Parvati with full rituals. After this, like every year, this year also he got whipped on his
hands as per tradition. cm Bhupesh Baghel was whipped five times in a row. After this, cm Bhupesh Baghel
greeted the person who was whipped by hugging him.
