Tata Group has announced to give Rs 1 crore compensation to the families of the 33 people who lost their lives on the ground.

Tata Group has also said that it will bear the cost of medical treatment of the injured in the accident so that the injured can get the help and care they need. Not only this, Tata Group will also help in rebuilding the BJ Medical Hostel which was badly damaged in the Dreamliner accident.

Will Tata provide any other kind of help?

The death of 241 passengers and crew members in this plane crash has been confirmed. Only one of them has survived. 33 victims were probably present in or around the BJ Medical college campus in ahmedabad at the time of the accident. When asked whether Tata Group will offer any other kind of help apart from compensation, such as giving jobs to the family members? Apart from the Rs 1 crore given by Tata Group, the family members of the passengers who died in the accident will also get about Rs 1.5 crore as compensation from the insurance companies. The primary insurers for air india policies are Tata AIG General Insurance (the leading insurer with more than 40% stake), ICICI Lombard General Insurance, New india Assurance and other PSU general insurers.
