On thursday morning, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrived at pradeep Sharma's home in Mumbai's Andheri (East) neighbourhood and began a search. Sharma was arrested after confessions and technological evidence were used against him.

As per the reports Sharma was apprehended on the basis of other suspect's testimonies stating his name and proof in the form of technological data pointing to his probable participation in the case. Sharma was detained in connection with the Antilia bomb scare and the death of entrepreneur Mansukh Hiran. In connection with the investigation, NIA officers had questioned him twice previously. Sharma is believed to be connected to Sachin Vaze, the primary conspirator in both instances who has been detained.

According to NIA sources, the new arrests in the instances are part of a broader conspiracy investigation. Two more suspects Shelar and Jadhav are being interrogated in the murder of the businessman Mansukh Hiran.
