Preparation

In a large bowl, mix grated beetroot, mashed potatoes, sautéed onions, and spices. Add breadcrumbs or cornflour to bind the mixture.
Shape the mixture into small, flat patties.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties on medium heat until both sides turn golden brown and crisp.
Remove and drain excess oil using a paper towel. Serve hot with green chutney, ketchup, or yogurt dip.
