Ashwin left the team after the second day of the third Test after his mother collapsed due to a severe headache. He was not with the team on the third day but rejoined on the fourth day.
Ashwin traveled to chennai on a chartered flight arranged by Pujara. And returned to Rajkot, the venue of the match, on a chartered flight arranged by Jay Shah. She sadly told him about his mother's condition. He was devastated not knowing how to reach Chennai. He started crying. He sat alone in his room. He was not in the mood to talk to anyone. His wife asked one of the team's physiotherapists to check on him as she couldn't reach his phone number. She also informed rohit sharma and rahul Dravid. He was a player in the playing eleven and He was thinking there would be only 10 players if he went home. Series 1- 1 was. He decided to go home and speak to family members about his mother's health. They said no one was allowed to meet her. Rohit and Dravid came to meet him. They told him to take his bags and go to Chennai. Rohit said it was important to be with his mother. Rohit arranged a chartered flight. Thanks a lot to Pujara who booked a chartered flight for him and he spent 2 hours on that flight. Their team physio Kamlesh was his good friend and Rohit asked him to travel with him. However, in the team, he refused as there were only two physios and if one goes with him, only one will be with the team. So he refused. However, when he went out to leave for the airport, he saw Kamlesh standing outside with his bag. Rohit called Kamlesh throughout the tour to check on him. He can't imagine what Rohit did.
