The case involves former MD Vasudeva reddy, former JC of krishna district and current east godavari District collector madhavi Lata reddy, along with key ycp leaders Dukkipati Shashi Bhushan, Kasukurthi Babji, and Paladugu Ramprasad. The complaint was filed by Duggirala prabhakar, a resident of gudivada Autonagar, who alleged that Vasudeva reddy and Kodali nani, along with their followers, were responsible for his mother's death.

Prabhakar's complaint states that they had obtained a license for an ap Beverages Liquor Godown in his mother Sita Mahalakshmi's name through a public tender in 2011. Despite complaining to JC madhavi Lata reddy, she was also abused. prabhakar alleges that Kodali Nani's followers threatened him, leading to his mother's death a few days later.

Prabhakar made a sensational remark that he lodged a police complaint to seek justice and action against those involved. He expressed fear for his life due to the threats and mentioned that he would write a letter to cm Chandrababu and IT minister Lokesh to seek protection.
