Chennai: The tamil Nadu Legislative assembly election is scheduled to be held on the 23rd of next month. The counting of votes will take place on May 4, and results will be announced on the same day.

This election is witnessing a four-cornered contest among major political formations:
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) alliance
All india Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) alliance
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)
Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK)
DMK to Contest 164 Seats
The DMK will contest in 164 constituencies, while its alliance partners will contest in the remaining 70 seats as part of a seat-sharing arrangement.

Tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. stalin officially released the full list of candidates for all 164 constituencies.

Udhayanidhi stalin will contest from Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni.
O. Panneerselvam has been fielded in Bodinayakanur.
Senior leaders like K. N. Nehru (Tiruchirappalli West), Thangam Thennarasu (Tiruchuli), and Duraimurugan (Katpadi) are among prominent candidates.

Saidapet – Ma. Subramanian
Thousand Lights – Dr. Ezhilan Naganathan
Kolathur – M. K. Stalin
In southern districts:
Kanyakumari – R. Mahesh
Madurai Central – PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan

In western belt:
