The plot of the movie CUSTODY centres around a young, earnest police officer named shiva (Naga Chaitanya), a cbi officer named Sampath, a hitman named Raju (Aravind Swamy), and a rogue police officer named R. Sharat Kumar. As a result of getting trapped in the crossfire between the cbi and Mafia, Constable shiva is compelled to pursue them. revathi, Shiva's love interest, occasionally joins the pursuit; the remainder of the narrative focuses on how and why the two squads are pursuing Mr. Raju.

Due to the fact that venkat Prabhu, the filmmaker, has previously produced respectable films, there are significant anticipation for this movie. The movie begins in a hamlet close to rajahmundry in 1996. The film's major antagonist is tied to the bombing's central concept, which results in the deaths of 40 people. Constable Shiva's entrance and his love scenes with revathi (Kriti Shetty) are pretty predictable. vennela Kishore's attempted comedic premise is poorly worded. The movie has done a better job at box office than Samantha's Shaakuntalam.

The movie picks up a little amount of speed as Sarath Kumar, Raju (Aravind Swamy), and the cbi Officer characters arrive. The low-budget chase episodes failed to make an impression. Overall though, the interval segment gives the second half some optimism. The second part starts with the family Shiva's history. The chase between Raju and the renegade officers continues throughout the rest of the movie. One could ask why the backdrop for this movie is from 1996.The movie falls short even technically. Both the songs and the background music are subpar.
