At the box office yesterday, there was a massive battle. Three films from three different businesses battled it out on a pan-India scale. Vikram, Major, and Samrat prithviraj are their names. lokesh kanagaraj directed Vikram, which starred kamal haasan in the major role. From the beginning, there were high expectations for this picture. Other notable actors in this film are Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and Suriya, making it a multi-starrer. vikram has received a lot of great feedback from the audience. It was also a great hit in tamil Nadu and telugu states.

Adivi Sesh's Major, on the other hand, is a major release that has been generating hype for quite some time. It is based on the life of Major sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was killed in the mumbai assaults of 26/11. The film turned out to be an emotional biopic with magnificent action moments, as expected. It debuted to great acclaim in both telugu states. The hindi version of Major also performed well in theatres across the country.

On its first day, Akshay Kumar's Samrat prithviraj flopped horribly. This film's first-day box office receipts are significantly lower than Akshay's last picture, Bachchan Pandey. Meanwhile, the telugu and tamil versions failed to attract the required number of viewers on the first day. It's astonishing to watch a big movie with a big star, produced by a large production house (Yash raj Films), bomb at the box office. Overall, vikram and Major had wonderful first days, however prithviraj had a dismal start.

Vikram was declared the winner in Tamilnadu, whereas Major was declared the winner in the telugu states. It's worth noting that both films are performing exceptionally well in South India, outperforming a bollywood feature. This demonstrates that South films are currently dominating the indian box office.
