The association said in a statement, “The Multiplex Association of india (MAI) and all cinema halls in india have announced the National cinema Day for all cinema lovers to watch movies in theaters on a single day with a charge of just Rs 75. Earlier the date for this celebration day was fixed as 16 September.
However, now on the request of many stakeholders to participate in this celebration, its date has been extended. Now National cinema Day will be organized on 23rd September. Just a few days before the earlier scheduled date of National cinema Day celebrations, 16 september, now MAI has announced that it will now be celebrated on 23 september in cinemas across India.
Cinema chains PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival, Mira, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, movie Time, Wave, M2K, and Daylight are participating in the celebration of this special occasion with over 4000 screens, a statement said. Where movie tickets will be sold on september 23 for Rs 75.
