According to sources from Dubai, Dubai Police has officially handed over the case to Dubai Public Prosecution who is conducting routine questioning. Meanwhile Boney Kapoor and a staff member from the hotel are being questioned while they have also taken possession of the actor's husband's passport. Sources have reported that Sridevi was found dead in a bathtub and her husband who flew down to Mumbai after attending Mohit Marwah's wedding had flown back to Dubai to surprise her.
Meanwhile he had even asked her on a dinner date for which she reportedly went to have a shower before getting ready. Further according to an earlier statement issued by Boney Kapoor, he had to break open the bathroom door after his calls to her didn't yield any replies. Moreover soon after, he is believed to have broke open the door and found her lying motionless in the bathtub at the luxury hotel in Jumeirah in Dubai.
Accordingly the body of the actress was to be flown
in to India for her last rites. Members from across the film fraternity had
rushed to Anil Kapoor's home where the body was to be kept for final respects. Furthermore
the latest postmortem report has stated that Sridevi's death wasn't a cardiac
arrest as reported earlier but accidental drowning. Traces of alcohol too are
believed to have been found in her blood. Presently according to latest reports
the Dubai police aren't too happy with Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor's answers
and have taken possession of his passport. Further it looks like a suspected
murder and speculation is rife that Sridevi's Death could be a murder.
