Tej Pratap Yadav, grandson of former mp and Mulayam Singh's brother, and Shivpal's son Aditya Yadav are
speculated to contest the assembly elections. It is being said that Akhilesh can hand over his Karhal seat to Tej
Pratap and Shivpal can hand over his Jaswantnagar seat to Aditya in the coming times.
In the 2014 by-election, Tej Pratap won from Mainpuri and became a Member of Parliament. However, after
Mulayam Singh came to Mainpuri in 2019, his name was put on the waiting list. Now there is no more option
of contesting the lok sabha, so in such a situation there is talk of contesting the Vidhansabha.

Jaswantnagar seat.
