Coogler's picture is a daring, ambitious, and even polarizing cinematic experience that leans more toward meditative cultural drama than typical horror.  In summary, both the excitement and the conflicting responses are genuine.  Not everyone will enjoy this movie, particularly indian viewers.  The narrative combines elements of survival horror and Southern legacy drama.  The plot delves deeply into generational guilt, identity, and resistance, and vampires are used as metaphors for cultural appropriation. 

Sinners is a visual spectacle unto itself.  It was filmed entirely on 70mm film utilizing both IMAX and Ultra Panavision formats.  The tallest and widest aspect ratios ever employed in a single film alternate smoothly throughout the film.  This audacious strategy reinforces the scope of Coogler's vision by producing a cinematic spectacle unlike anything else.  Sinners is more of a meditative cultural drama than a jump-scare movie, despite its horror structure.  

The effective use of music is at its heart.  Thanks to Ludwig Göransson's captivating score, one mid-film passage in particular is already being praised as the scene of the year. Sinners is more of an experience; it's bold, provocative, and unabashedly unique.  Sinners can be chaotic, overbearing, and ambitious at times.  However, it is also the product of a filmmaker at the height of his inventiveness, boldly pushing the limits of what mainstream cinema is willing to try.
