Trump gave this warning to 14 countries
Trump has warned in a strict tone in official letters sent to 14 countries that if they increase tariffs on America as a retaliatory action, then America will also add the same amount of tax and more. He clearly wrote, "If you increase your tariff for any reason, we will add an additional tax on it by the same percentage you have increased." Trump explained why tariffs are necessary for America He also said that these new tariffs are necessary to correct the years-old wrong policies which imposed a huge trade deficit on America. According to trump, these policies have included both tariff and non-tariff barriers. trump said, "This trade deficit on America is a big threat not only to our economy but also to national security." Why did trump choose japan and south korea first? When white house Press Secretary Caroline Levitt was asked why these two countries were chosen first, she said, "It is the President's prerogative. He chose only those countries which he considers appropriate." Caroline further said that the trump administration is close to finalizing the agreement with many other trade partners. She said, "The President wants these deals to prove to be the best for America."
