Earlier on Friday, the last day of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly, the house approved by voice vote a

proposal regarding the safe return of workers from Uttar Pradesh from the Silkyara Tunnel under construction in

Uttarakhand. In this, he congratulated prime minister Narendra Modi, uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh

Dhami, members of the rescue team and all the people directly and indirectly associated with this operation and

expressed his gratitude. In the assembly on Friday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had proposed a motion of

congratulation and thanks for the safe return of the workers of Uttar Pradesh from the Silkyara Tunnel under

construction in Uttarakhand.

Referring to the proposal presented by the chief minister, assembly Speaker Mahana said that 41 workers from

eight states, who were trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel under construction in Uttarkashi, uttarakhand for 17 days

from november 12, 2023, will be rescued by various agencies in the ongoing relief and rescue operation for about

400 hours. As a result of which he was evacuated safely, for which we are all proud.

Thanked PM Modi and cm Dhami

He said, We wish for the health and safe future of the workers when they come out safely. Mahana said that

under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi and the efficient management of uttarakhand Chief

minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, 41 workers have been rescued from the Uttarkashi Tunnel. This House

unanimously expresses its gratitude to the members of the rescue operation team for their safe return,

congratulates all of them and thanks all of them. He said that the house congratulates all those who had direct and

indirect participation in the campaign.
