vikram Lander of Chandrayaan 2 mission lost its communication with the Ground Control just 2.1 Kilometers away from the Lunar Surface on early hours of Saturday. Since then, ISRO has been analyzing the data to find out what went wrong in the mission and they have made a key announcement.

"ISRO has found out the exact location of vikram Lander on lunar Surface. The orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander. Communication yet to be established," ISRO Chief K Sivan announced to the media. "If vikram crashed and broke up into pieces, the orbiter's imaging won't be very useful. If the vikram lander crash-landed and broke apart into pieces, the orbiter is unlikely to spot it, according to an ISRO scientist," an ISRO Scientist said.

Even though the communication link between vikram and the Ground Control is established, the mission could not be revived but the scientists will be able to find out what went wrong which will help in their subsequent missions. Even though vikram Lander has failed, 90 to 95% of the mission objectives have been accomplished since the orbiter will revolve the Moon for around a year.
