As the 2025 Wimbledon tennis series approaches its final stage, the quarterfinals are underway with great excitement. Alcaraz's unwavering dominance:
In the men's singles, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz faced cameron Norrie of britain in the much-anticipated quarterfinals. Alcaraz had already warned that facing Norrie would be a "night of dreams." Falling 0-40 down in the opening service game of the match, it looked like a shock moment was in store. But Alcaraz quickly overcame that threat. She then made a blistering comeback, defeating Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 to reach the semifinals. Alcaraz has now won 23 matches in a row. This is her eighth Grand Slam semifinal. She will face American Taylor Fritz in the semifinals.
World No. 1 Ariana Sabalenka fought back from a set down to beat Germany's Laura Siegmund in the women's singles quarterfinals. In the three-hour match, Sabalenka won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 to enter her third Wimbledon semi-final. There were 14 service breaks throughout the match. This emotional victory by Sabalenka showed her determination.In another quarter-final, Amanda Anisimova overcame a tough challenge from Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to enter her first Wimbledon semi-final. She was seen falling down on the court after the victory.

Fritz's first semi-final:

In the men's singles, fifth seed Taylor Fritz fought back from a set down to defeat Karen Khachanov in a thrilling four-set match (6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4)) to reach his first Wimbledon semi-final. Today's (July 9) Wimbledon quarter-finals will feature Mira Andreeva vs. Belinda Bencic, Blaise Kopolski vs. Novak Djokovic, Ika Swiatek vs. Lyudmila Samsonova, and Janik Sinner vs. Ben Shelton. The star-studded clash has added to the heat at Wimbledon.
