Actor karthi had last made an appearance in the disastrous Dev directed by rajath Ravishankar, and co-starring rakul preet singh, and was seen next in the lokesh kanagaraj directorial Kaithi, bankrolled by Dream Warrior pictures and his next release 'Thambi' was also an average hit at the Box-Office.
The actor had been working on two movies simultaneously, namely the one co-starring rashmika mandanna in her tamil debut and another is the one which is directed by 'Remo' fame Bakyaraj Kannan. The movie with rashmika has been titled as 'Sultan'.
Speaking to a tamil weekly, rashmika said, "I am excited to join back the shooting of 'Sultan'. producer SR Prabhu has erected a huge set and the movie will be entertaining as well as infotaining for sure. My character will be quite different in this movie."
