Srivastava is one of the reporters in the state of Uttar Pradesh and he was publishing a complete story on the Liquor Mafia. But, just after a few days, he posted the story he has now died in a road crash. It should be noted that he even wrote to DGP for his protection as he is targeted by some goons. The police filed his death as a road accident as they reported his bike crashed on a pole in the Pratapgarh area. 

Regarding this road crash, SP Surendra Dwivedi reported to the press that the crash took place when he was returning back to home after paying a visit to the Lalganj police Station. In the police Station, he filed a complaint against an illegal arms unit. But this death has sparked a huge controversy and congress party's priyanka gandhi has lashed out at yogi adityanath over the accidental death of the reporter.

Priyanka asked several questions to the UP cm as why his government is still silent and it is the duty of journalists to bring out the truth and warn the common people about the dangers prevailing in the society. She also further added is Yogi's government sleeping and not taking any step regarding the death?
