The horrific gang rape of a young girl on May 28 by six individuals, including five minors, was the subject of a charge sheet filed by Hyderabad's jubilee hills police on Thursday. The 600-page charge sheet was submitted separately by the police in the juvenile court and the nampally metropolitan criminal court. Five of the defendants are children, thus the trial should take place in the juvenile court; the sixth will be tried in the criminal court.

The JJ Board granted bail to four of the five minors on Tuesday, and they were all released. On Wednesday, the telangana high court granted bail to the fifth minor. The charge sheet was submitted 56 days after the FIR was registered. Up to 65 witnesses in the case gave their statements to the police, who then recorded them. The forensic reports (FSL) and dna test results obtained from the defendant and the vehicle used in the crime are also contained by the police. The charge sheet also listed the CDs of surveillance video, call records from mobile phones, messages, and images gathered from social networking sites.

Three days after the group rape, on May 31, the jubilee hills police filed the FIR. The accused, according to the police, allegedly pushed the young girl into his Mercedes Benz car on May 28 at the Amnesia and Insomnia Pub, drove it up to the pastry shop, where they transferred her into a toyota Innova and sexually assaulted her there. In addition to filing cases under the POCSO Act, the police also filed cases against the suspects in the rape event under Sections 376-D (gang rape), 323 (causing injury), and 376 (kidnapping) of the indian Penal Code.
