The victim actress in the 2017 kerala sexual assault case filed a complaint with the kerala Bar Council, stating that counsel Raman Pillai, who is defending actor Dileep, the eighth-accused in the case, made improper interventions. In a comprehensive note, the actor alleges that the advocate and his staff attempted to sway numerous key witnesses in the case. The Bar Council, on the other hand, responded that the complaint was out of order and included a copy of the rules governing the procedure for registering a complaint against an attorney.

According to a statement from the Secretary of the Bar Council, her petition will be reviewed after she corrects the faults. The victim claims in her lawsuit that the accused actor's lawyers have been engaging in illegal and unsuitable behaviour for the legal profession. She is pleading with the Bar Council to take legal action against them. After some revelations by Balachandra Kumar, a director who was once close to Dileep, new claims surfaced in the case a few months ago. The authorities have since conducted additional investigations into the case.

The survivor's new complaint details an alleged event in which advocate Raman Pillai attempted to sway Jinson, an eyewitness who shared a cell with Pulsar Suni, the primary accused in the rape case. She claims Raman Pillai bribed Jinson with Rs 25 lakh and five cents of land with the help of an offender in a criminal case named Nasser. She mentions that a case has been filed in conjunction with it. She further claims that Raman Pillai failed to show up for a police summons for questioning in the matter.
