Trupti canteens in andhra pradesh will soon start in Visakhapatnam. These canteens, which will provide employment to women, will provide food like biryani at a low price. It is reported that the 'Trupti' canteen project being introduced by the andhra pradesh government is now going to start in Visakhapatnam city as well. The state government is ready to expand this scheme, which is already running successfully in Nellore, to more cities. Its main objective is to provide good food at an affordable price, especially for the middle class and poor families. However, at the same time, these canteens have been designed to provide delicious food to consumers who can pay.
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has selected five areas in Visakhapatnam city with high traffic. The ground is being prepared for the establishment of Trupti canteens in rk Beach, KGH, Dwarka bus Stand, and Kurmannapalem areas. Officials said that each canteen will be built in container style. These will be basically managed by Dwakra women's groups. This project will provide employment to women and will become a good opportunity for them to take steps on the path of self-employment. The government has a partnership with an organization called 'Sara' in the management of these canteens. Each woman will have to invest Rs. 2.75 lakhs in connection with the opening of the canteen. If four people work together, a total investment of Rs. 11 lakhs will be required. An additional Rs. 3.50 lakhs will be received from the sara organization. women will also have the opportunity to get loans through banks. GVMC is taking the responsibility of coordinating these loans. The city administration will allocate the land required to build the canteen for free. That means there is no need to pay rent for the canteen site.
When it comes to food served in Trupti canteens, along with tiffins, chicken and mutton biryani will also be available at low prices. However, there is currently no clarity on the prices. Guidelines related to them will be released soon. It is reported that the prices are planned to be within the income of the common man.

Currently, arguments are being heard in some areas over the selection of canteen sites. For example, there are opinions that visitors do not use the Trupti canteen in the rk Beach area. Similarly, there are suggestions that a new canteen should be set up somewhere else since there is already an Anna canteen near KGH. Some people also say that there is no need for two canteens in the Kurmannapalem area. In fact, this canteen scheme has received a good response in Nellore. Now, the authorities are taking steps to expand the same model to cities like vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Through this scheme, the government is trying to achieve two important goals. First, to provide good food to the people at a low price. Second, to provide self-employment opportunities to women.

The specialty of Trupti canteens is that they are run entirely under the auspices of women. They invest on their own, get bank loans, and take on the responsibilities of running the canteen. In this way, the government is building a social development model together with the people. There is a possibility that these canteens will be expanded to more cities in the future. Plans are already being made for vijayawada and other cities. After the establishment of the Trupti canteens is completed, the authorities are ready to review their performance and make necessary changes.

In addition, it seems that special committees will be formed to monitor the quality of ingredients used in the Trupti canteens, kitchen management, and cleanliness. It is also reported that policies like a central kitchen are being considered to effectively manage the daily food supply system for the canteens. Such projects not only meet the needs of the people but also show a way to promote the economic self-reliance of women socially. If the Trupti canteens gain public support, there is a possibility of implementing the same model in more districts across the state. It is reported that the government has already started working on this.

In fact, similar canteens were started in the past, but since they were completely free, the burden of management fell on the government. However, officials believe that Trupti canteens have a high chance of continuing in the long term as they are run in partnership with the commercial sector. The opening dates of these canteens are likely to be announced soon. They will be made available to the public after all the arrangements are completed. However, the government will soon announce comprehensive guidelines, price lists, management policies, and other matters related to this. Overall, Trupti canteens are a new food culture in Visakhapatnam city.
