3. 🧾 Who Can Apply: Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Citizen of india / subject of nepal / bhutan / Tibetan refugee (before 1 Jan 1962) / person of indian origin from certain countries, as per norms.
  • Age Limits:
    • MMGS II (Manager level): approx. 25–35 years  
    • MMGS III (Senior Manager level): approx. 30–40 years
    • Relaxations for OBC, SC/ST, PwBD etc. as per government rules.
  • Education & Experience: Varies by post. Examples:
    • Manager (IT) / Senior Manager (IT): degree in B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in CS/IT or related + relevant years of work experience. Manager (Civil / Electrical / Architecture etc.): Relevant Engineering / Architecture degree + experience.
    • For Information Security, certification (e.g. CISA etc.) / special skills may be required.

4. 💰 Pay & Perks: Salary Structure

  • Pay scales are MMGS II and MMGS III.
  • Approximate salary:
    • MMGS II: ₹64,820 – ~₹93,960 plus allowances like DA, HRA, CCA etc.
    • MMGS III: ~₹85,920 – ~₹1,05,280 plus applicable allowances.

5. 🎯 Selection Process: How You’ll Be Chosen

  • Stage 1: Online Examination (Objective Format)
  • Stage 2: interview for those who qualify the exam. Exam pattern breakdown:
    • English language (25 questions, 25 marks) – 30 minutes
    • General Awareness (esp. Banking) (25 Q, 25 marks) – 30 minutes
    • Professional Knowledge (50 Q, 50 marks) – 60 minutes
    • Total duration: 2 hours, penalisation of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
    • Sectional cut-offs: typically 35% for unreserved, 30% for reserved categories.

6. 🪙 Application Fee: How Much Will It Cost

  • For all other (General, OBC, EWS etc.): 1,000 (including GST)
  • For sc / st / PwBD: 175 (intimation charges only)
  • Fees are non-refundable.

7. 🛠️ How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide

Visit the official website of IOB (www.iob.in).

Go to “Careers” section → click on “Recruitment of Specialist Officers – 2025-26”.

Register online: fill in basic details (name, email, phone etc.), note registration number.

Upload required documents: photograph & signature, and any other – as per specifications in the advertisement.

Pay the application/ intimation fee.

Complete and submit form before 3 october 2025.

Keep copies (print/download) of application confirmation / e-receipt for future reference.


8. ⚠️ Important Pointers & Tips

  • You can apply for more than one post, if eligible, but for the same post, only the latest application will be considered.
  • Ensure OBC certificates have the non-creamy layer clause and are valid (date-wise) as on last date of registration.
  • If you are already employed in government / PSU, you may need a No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Posts will require medical fitness as per bank’s norms.
