There is some confusion regarding coaching in the coaching city of Kota, where hostel operators have to face problems. This is a rule which applies only in Kota and nowhere else, a different rule is being seen in Kota than in the whole of Rajasthan. Objection to ban on UD tax for fire NOC
Hostel Association has lodged an objection to the ban on UD tax for fire NOC. Due to this, fire NOC is not being issued for hostels for a long time. Regarding this matter, a delegation of Kota Hostel Association under the leadership of President naveen Mittal reached Municipal Corporation Kota South and North. Where objection was lodged before Kota North Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anurag Bhargava and South Additional Commissioner Jawaharlal over the ban on UD tax for fire NOC.
It is not clear whether the hostel comes under the ambit of UD tax.
In this matter, naveen Mittal says that in many places including Jaipur, Jodhpur, UD tax receipt is not necessary for fire NOC. At the same time, it is still not clear under what jurisdiction the hostel comes under UD tax. Earlier governments had considered this residential. There is no order or explanation of any kind after this. The Municipal Corporation is arbitrarily issuing notices of unit tax dues worth lakhs of rupees, considering it as institutional, to harass the hostel operators of Kota North and South.
