kollywood industry's iconic filmmaker shankar has been busy with his upcoming big-budget flick, indian 2, starring kamal hassan, Kajal Agarwal, rakul Preet, siddharth, priya bhavani shankar, delhi ganesh and nedumudi venu in prominent roles. After the accident at EVP film city and the unexpected Corona pandemic, the shooting has been paused.
Recently, director shankar spoke to a leading tamil weekly magazine about his movie 'Anniyan' as it celebrated 15 years. During the interview, he was asked about OTT or Theatrical release? and the magnum opus director gave an interesting answer once again.
He said, "Definitely, the theatrical watch can never be matched by any OTT. The energy and euphoria in theater can never be received anywhere. I have been wondering what type of movies I should work if I am given a chance to direct a movie on OTT in the future. But, be it theater or OTT, my movies are meant to entertain all kinds of audiences."
